Budget and Fiscal Services (BFS) is responsible for the management of all agency financial activities including Accounting, Budgeting, Contractual Agreements, Financial Systems, Grants, and Payroll.
The division consists of the Budget Section, the Accounting Section, the Financial Systems and Payroll Section, and the Contracting Section.
Duties
Our new teammate will be able to:
Review, analyze and process all vendor payments for assigned divisions.
Complete Inventory Purchase Accounts chargeback reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Review, analyze, and process contract payments ensuring compliance with contract terms and verifying total contract spending.
Provide back up support for primary agency credit card custodian.
Provide back up support for the Agency Travel Desk.
Prepare warrant cancellation and reissue as necessary.
Interpret financial data produced by the agency accounting system.
Maintain files and and applicable spreadsheet payments on all payable contracts for the assigned areas or bureaus.
NOTE: This is not a full-time telework position.
Candidates must be able and willing to work in the office and commute to Olympia.
A hybrid work schedule may be available after training is complete.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License.
One year of Accounts Payable experience.
Previous work experience utilizing mainframe database programs.
