What you'll do as Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk:
This is an in-person position located in South Tacoma.
Hours are Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch break and 2-15 minute breaks (morning and afternoon).
Occasional early or late start may be required depending on company needs.
Accounts Payable:
Receiving bills via Concur Solutions, email, and mail - adding expense account info and submitting for payment;
Stuffing checks for mailing;
Tracking and entering temporary employee time into Quickbooks;
Reconciling vendor statements to ensure complete and accurate entries, following up with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
Reconciling credit card statements.
Payroll Clerk:
Process Payroll (up to point of submission)
Verify Hours
Prepare uploads
Verify deductions
Process garnishments/withholdings
Process unemployment claim notices received from ESD
Assisting the Controller:
Assist with Recruiting:
Recruiting events and manage job postings;
Screen all applications, schedule interviews for those who pass the screening;
Make job offers at the direction of hiring managers;
Perform pre-hire checks;
Onboard new hires;
Manage employee documents and certifications;
Offboard employees (paperwork, not terminations);
Assist with L&I (workers comp) claims processing with assistance of BIAW

What we ask of the Accounts Payable/Human Resources position:
Must be at least 18 years old;
Must be able to enter data into computers accurately;
Must have experience with Excel;
Preferred previous office experience;
Must have reliable transportation to Tacoma;
Must be a self-starter and have strong work ethic;
Must be able to prioritize urgent vs important;
Must be honest, reliable, and trustworthy;
Must have strong critical thinking skills;
Must be fair and open minded;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
Must be Positive, Professional, and Reliable;
Payroll and/or Payables experience preferred but not required.
College education preferred, but not required.
