Please note: Based on the compensation range we are advertising the starting salary offer will be determined based on the successful candidates’ qualifications within the budgeted salary range of $71,000 – $95,000 annually.

Duties What you’ll do: Coordinate and work closely with system integrators to build competency in the enterprise resource planning accounting and finance software functionality and configuration.
Configure and test the Workday software to ensure it meets the requirements and business needs of the state.
Provide maintenance and operation support of the Workday service for the agency customers.
Create, contribute to, and maintain critical artifacts.
Collaborate with customer agencies to gain shared understanding of enterprise and agency business needs.
Assist customer agencies to understand changes in functionality from the current state to that of Workday ERP.
Assist team in preparing the state for the transition to the new operating environment.
Provide knowledge of accounting and finance business processes to accomplish challenging goals and solve difficult work problems.
Participate in design sessions to develop software solutions around the needs of statewide accounting and finance community.
Interview and observe statewide state agencies to ensure the project understands customer needs and documents appropriate project requirements.
Assist with development of testing scenarios and scripts, and the testing of Workday software service.
Identify, mitigate, and/or resolve constraints, implications, and consequences of designed system changes.
Provide effective and efficient risk management analysis and escalation of risks as appropriate.
Monitor and report on the implementation of identified risk responses, changes to risk, and implementation of key actions within the project team to reduce and/or eliminate the risk.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a closely aligned field.
* Four years of accounting or finance experience, including: general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost allocation systems, projects, and grants.
*Two years of additional relevant professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or closely aligned field.
Four years of accounting or finance experience at a Washington state agency.
Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience.
Project Management Institute certificate.
Experience working on an ERP implementation.
