" Job Title: Fiscal Specialist 1 (FS1) Location: Chehalis, WA (Green Hill School) Regular on-site attendance is required.
Closes: March 3rd, 2024 Salary: $3,376 - $4,497 Monthly We're looking for someone who is ready to support the Department of Children and Youth Services' (DCYF) mission to protect children and support families, so they flourish by ensuring that the Green Hill School incarcerated youth assets are safeguarded and accounted for in a timely and accurate manner.
This position is crucial for the day-to-day functions of the institution to continue to provide a healthy safe environment for the youth.

Some of what you'll get to do: Processes daily local fund transactions which includes 5 local fund accounts.
Processes daily deposits, cash transaction, and payments to and from local fund accounts.
Verifies daily balances with transactions to ensure transactions are appropriately deposited and posted to the correct accounts and local fund.
Maintains canteen sales worksheet including recording inventory and sales information.
Maintains JVIP sales invoices and records receipt of funds from the sales.
Accurately accounts for and compiles tax information on the sale of JVIP and Canteen products.
Conducts compliance reviews.
Manages all documentation in order to meet compliance with audit standards.
Maintains accurate purchase card logs.
Ensures that the correct purchase card is given to the employee for the purchases required.
Ensures that the purchases have been approved with accurate documentation and appropriate signature authorizations.
Schedules card pickups so that the cards are available when needed.
Safeguards cards by guaranteeing employees are returning them in a timely manner and returns them to the safe when not in use.
Maintains and compiles all documentation for each purchase card and submits to the Fiscal analyst for the monthly payment.
Required Qualifications: Equivalent education and fiscal record keeping experience totaling three (3) years.
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following: 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
Previous familiarity with institutional environments.
Previously demonstrated ability processing large quantities of fiscal data with consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Previously demonstrated knowledge of PREA standards and rules.
Previously demonstrated skills working with computer systems such as AFRS, Enterprise Reporting, DCYF Purchasing System, HRMS, Leave Tracker and QuickBooks.
Previously demonstrated skills working with Microsoft Office Suite.
Previously demonstrated basic math skills.
Previously demonstrated skills in the use of a10-key calculator.
