SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Provide branch-specific support to the Corporate Accounting Team.
The Branch Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the branch’s fixed assets and inventory, including month-end entries and reconciliation; A/P entry; property tax filings and payment; and all required FL sales and use tax filings.

· Process and reconcile Accounts Receivable including the proper application of payments which may include communication with both the customer and the company’s Sales Group
· Manage cash flow, including payment remittance via check, ACH, EFT, and wires, complete reconciliation of petty cash, bank and credit card accounts and assist with cash forecasting
· Prepare and maintain, as necessary, schedules to support transactions and ledger balances
· Actively participate in month-end close process, including accruals, trial balance reviews, and necessary adjusting journal entries
· Ensure monthly reconciliation of high-value ledger accounts per the Controller’s direction
· Provide accounting guidance to personnel based on research and proper application of GAAP; develop accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
· Assist Controller with day-to-day processes, additional duties, and projects as needed or assigned
· Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
· Manage branch’s payroll functions and act as liaison with HR for finalizing payroll
· Assist the branch’s production team with inventory processes, including cycle counts and valuations
Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Accounting internship, agricultural and production accounting, and/or data processing experience.
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook; QuickBooks or ERP experience.
