Management reserves the right to change the essential duties of this position description from time to time as necessary POSITION OVERVIEW: This position supports the Finance Department pertaining to the functions of fixed assets, inventory, payroll general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, trial balance review and preparation and special projects.
Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements in a timely manner.
Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc.
is expected.
Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential function of the Staff Accountant I include but not limited to: Complete timely and accurate balance sheet account analysis, data analysis, and reconciliations Assist in reviewing guest reinvestment matrix, pro forma and post forma analysis.
Analyze financial data.
Record daily bank activity for multiple accounts and record company credit card transactions and coordinate receipt of expense reports.
Assist with physical inventory counts and fixed asset audits as needed.
Conduct inventory of gaming-controlled inventory items.
Complete monthly analysis of complimentary expenses.
Prepare accrual, reversing, prepaid and adjustment journal entries as needed.
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Responsible for assisting in the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure financial statements are thorough and accurate.
Prepare monthly cost of sales computations and food transfers (internal and external) as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required for this position.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have intermediate experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and possess intermediate math skills.
Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Ability to read, understand and interpret financial data required.
Self-starter and strong work ethic is a must.
Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong people skills, are a must.
Intermediate experience with standard Microsoft products and Sage100 preferred.
Must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of the general ledger process with a specific understanding of payroll, inventory controls and fixed asset accounting preferred.
Individual must be detail oriented and possess strong/highly developed analytical skills and have the ability to solve problems and work effectively and independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
Must pass a basic accounting test with a minimum score of 80%.
Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions.
This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 30+ pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.
ENVIRONMENT: The environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.
Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel.
May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.

Position, in support of LEC&H’s Pride in Property values, assists with the daily cleaning of public and team member spaces, ensuring hey are properly cleaning (to property standards) and sanitized; examples of daily cleaning protocols include but are not limited to the cleaning of work areas, machines, equipment, using cleaning and sanitizing agents and report of any and all cleanliness issues.
