Are you interested in a career that allows you to grow within your work unit and help serve your coworkers with their Payroll and Benefits administration? The Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Office of Finance, Budget and Economics is looking to fill two entry-level positions within their Payroll unit.
In this role, you will be able to support the DNR in its mission, goals, and objectives by reviewing, preparing, and processing payroll financial data for the agency.
Responding to all Employment Security documents, administering the division payroll email inbox, and completing all Verifications of Employment.
*Required Qualifications: *
* 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of college-level accounting OR completion of these courses within 12 months of hire.
* Two years of professional experience; in payroll, accounting, auditing, records management, or a relevant field.
OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Experience analyzing and interpreting various financial documents.
* Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
* Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and public records retention and requests are followed.
* Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy with a heavy workload applying attention to detail in everyday tasks.
* Ability to analyze and interpret forms, reports, and other types of written and oral communication.
* Ability to be focused and to prioritize work to meet inflexible deadlines while dealing with constant interruptions.
* Possess strong interpersonal relationship skills.
* Consistent ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with co-workers and diverse clientele.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,400.
