This position also effects the vision of the FTD of being “The leader in Fire and Emergency Services training in the state of Washington”.
This position reports to the Assistant Division Commander for the FTD and is accountable to Supervise and direct the Administrative section personnel.
About the Division: The Fire Training Academy is the premier live-fire training site in Washington State that provides critical live-fire and public safety training in a safe and controlled environment.

The FTD is responsible for multiple levels of training for the fire service.
The FTD operates a 51 acre live fire training facility located in North Bend; providing classroom and live fire training to the fire service, the military, law enforcement and other safety and industrial professionals.

Duties Responsibilities: Logistics and Project Management Supervise Administrative Staff Financial and Contract Management Reviews completed work to verify objectives have been met and provides guidance when necessary to meet Organizational goals.
Determines if staff requires additional training to perform assigned work, creates plan for personal development of direct reports.
Works directly with WSP GMR and WSP Lean Facilitation.
Works directly with PMD and BFS for procurements, budget and contracts.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must possess a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License or able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have experience as follows; 2 years of supervisory and/or leadership.
4 years of budget, project management, and/or contract management experience or combination of any to total a minimum of 4 years.
2 years of purchasing experience.
Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups of people.
Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Conditions of Employment: Successful completion of a pre-employment polygraph examination and background investigation.
If certification below are not obtained upon employment, incumbent will have 2 years to complete upon hire; Certification as a Public Information Officer Certification as a Project Manager You must submit a current resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts (high school/ GED and/ or college) when you apply.
