Executive Excellence ManagerWMS Band 2Salary: $110,484 Annually This position primarily supports the Eastern side of Washington State.
This is a hybrid/telework position.
Work may be performed anywhere within the state of Washington with a reliable internet connection.

The Office of Executive Excellence (OEE) within the Washington State Department of Corrections is devoted to providing various leadership resources throughout all divisions of the department.
To assist in seeing the small- and large-scale work come to life, the OEE is searching for a charismatic leader to join their team as an Executive Excellence Manager (EEM)! The goal of the Executive Excellence Manager is to create and deliver leadership development content that is relevant, applicable, and beneficial to current and prospective leaders at the Department of Corrections (DOC).
The Executive Excellence Manager is accountable for contributing to policies and procedures related to executive/organizational excellence, organizational process improvement, effective and efficient business functions.
This could include organizational excellence, executive onboarding, engagement, training, mentoring, coaching, and development.
In this role, you will provide management level and policy direction on executive/organizational excellence including program policies and processes and monitors compliance with DOC goals and appropriate federal and state laws.

As a Executive Excellence Manager, some of your duties will include: Administering programs that contribute towards executive excellence within the agency including executive engagement, onboarding, ongoing development, training, coaching, performance improvement, and mentoring which could look like: Consulting with and provide professional leadership advice and resources to facility and program leadersCurating, developing, and implementing course/training objectives, curriculum, and materials that seek to engage executives and increasing executive performance and organizational effectivenessProviding leadership and guidance to ensure needs assessments and task analysis for executive resources are performedProviding strategic leadership to ensure audits/assessments are coordinated and conducted to gauge the effectiveness of program initiatives and goals to determine gaps and implement adjustments as neededLeading, collaborating with, and/or providing strategic guidance to internal committees, teams, and workgroups including: Serving as a representative for the Office of Executive Excellence in internal DOC matters related to executive/organizational excellenceDeveloping and maintaining professional, positive, and productive relationships across the organizationExercising independent judgment and discretion when providing consultation, advice and/or information, and adapt skills and knowledge to each unique situationCollaborating with others to include: Working in conjunction with the various DOC organizational elements such as divisions, human resources, administrators, assistant secretaries, clinicians, and health services managers to develop, deliver, and manage effective executive/organizational excellence programs including strategies and processes that align with business objectives, drive superior results, and strengthen the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the DOCLeading the facilitation of effective strategy and program discussions with agency senior leadership Promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity throughout all program goalsProviding 360 degree feedback to leadership/appointing authorities and the executives on identified/observed strengths, weaknesses, and areas requiring improvements SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Vision: Working together for safer communities.
