We are currently searching for teachers in numerous age groups, from our Infant classroom, to School Age Program.
We serve children ages 4 weeks to 11 years old at A Joyful Noise Childcare Center.
Teachers are responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
Teachers must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.
Childcare teachers are required to use patience, a compassionate and friendly demeanor, and the ability to think creatively and quickly, while in the classroom.
Our centers goal is to provide a nurturing and enriching environment that encourages stimulation, and cognitive development.

A Joyful Noise is open from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
Duties
-Create a positive learning environment reflecting A Joyful Noise's religious based values
-Following Early Achievers Quality Standards and adhere to Washington Administrative Code (WAC) for Childcare
-Cultivate strong bonds with families, children, staff, state licensing authorities and community contacts
-Develop and implement strategies to guide positive behaviors
-Observe and record children's growth, development, and behavior's
-Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of every child
-Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe
-Maintain accurate records, forms and files
-May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl and lift up to 50 pounds
-High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
-Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
-Promoting and supporting every child and families' individual needs
-Demonstrates knowledge of center policies, expectations, and requirements
-Planning activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices, and program philosophy
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Cleared Background check through DCYF
30 STARS hours childcare basics course
Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certified
Food Handlers' card
Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
Infant Safe Sleep & Mandated Reporter course
MMR & COVID-19 Vaccinations

Nice To Haves
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE
ECE short certificate
Childcare experience (At least one year)
