As the Play Day Café Assistant Manager, you will lead your team to provide safe, efficient, and customer-focused café operations.

*As our Café Assistant Manager, you will:*
* Ensure food safety and that the café areas are clean and well-stocked.
* Oversee a small team, schedule, train, and assist in performance reviews.
* Manage inventory and track profitability of goods.
* Produce quality food and beverages.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Participate in internal communications with management and other staff.
*About the Play Day Café:*
Our café offers salads, sandwiches, grilled paninis and quesadillas, soup, and other grab and go options to museum patrons, programs, and events.
We welcome a creative eye and attention to detail.

*A qualified candidate will have:*
* 2+ years of leadership experience, directly supervising staff of 3 or more in a hospitality or food service setting.
* A current Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe Certified preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Point of Sale systems.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with limited direction, and attention to detail.
* Weekend availability.
