EFI’s Vocational Services Department provides job development, job coaching, high school transition, and community inclusion services to individuals with disabilities living in Thurston and Mason Counties.
Collaborating with employers, we seek to remove workplace barriers and create opportunities for our clients.
*Your Role: *The *Employment Support Specialist I *is to provide comprehensive support for employed clients receiving services from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and Foundational Community Supports (FCS).
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is a statewide resource assisting people with disabilities to prepare for, secure, maintain, advance in, or regain employment.
The FCS program provides supported employment services to individuals experiencing employment barriers due to chronic homelessness, substance use disorder, mental illness and/or chronic physical illness.
Supported Employment services include both pre-employment and employment-sustaining supports.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Including, but not limited to: * Engaging program participants an establishing trust, respectful and collaborative relationships toward the goal of maintaining competitive employment.
* Assist participants in obtaining information about their benefits and how they will be affected by employment so that participants can make informed decision.
* Complete FCS eligibility assessments and reauthorizations, as required, in a timely fashion.
* Monitor hours allotted to clients.
* Assist participants with employment sustaining services including, but not limited to: career advancement, job accommodations, assistive technology, negotiation with employers, job analysis and coaching, asset development, accessing local resources.

* *Marketing & Community Relations* - Markets client strengths & skills to employers, coaches’ businesses in ADA issues, accommodations & natural supports, presents an awareness of disability rights, and knows emerging disability employment trends *QUALIFICATIONS:* * High school diploma or GED _*(required)*_ * 1-2 years experience providing services to individuals in a mental health environment _*(required)*_ * 1-2 years experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness (or formerly unhoused populations) and substance use disorders (active or in recovery) _*(preferred)*_ * 2+ years experience working with individuals with disabilities to achieve employment outcomes _*(preferred)*_ * Sales and marketing experience_*(highly preferred)*_ * Lived experience is extremely valuable in this role and is highly preferred.
* Reliable transportation to use on the job, current WA Driver's License and auto insurance.
We also provide EFI-owned vehicles as needed.
* Must be able to pass and have the ability to pass continuous drug screenings.
* Skilled in MS Office applications and navigating the internet.
