This position focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, culture, and organization structures.
This position’s primary responsibility is creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance so that projects and initiatives are successful.
The Organizational Change Leader identifies and addresses barriers to employees adopting change, which could include desire/knowledge/ability, team culture, team dynamics, and perceived barriers.
The position works to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees to achieve results and outcomes.
The Organizational Change Leader uses expert-level skills in the areas of change management, organizational development, process improvement, team building, facilitation, and coaching.
This position uses tools and frameworks related to areas such as: ADKAR, Agile, Human Centered Design, Lean Six Sigma, Organizational Development, and more.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Some of what you will do: Develop and implement comprehensive organizational change management plans for assigned division(s), portfolio(s), and/or project(s) to ensure changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures are clearly articulated, shared, communicated and trained for all staff affected by changes.
Provide expert level consultation, technical assistance and coaching to division leadership to help them fulfill their role of change sponsor and to managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transition.
Lead and manage cross-functional change management teams from across the organizationDevelop and conduct a variety of assessments to determine the organizational readiness for change and develop appropriate strategies, tools and training.
Build capacity of employees and leaders throughout the agency to navigate change.
Support OCM practice delivery; Develop specific OCM tools and structured methodology to assist division(s), agency leaders, project teams, managers and staff in effectively implementing OCM strategies.
Design and deliver expert-level services to improve and sustain organizational health and employee engagement outcomes for assigned portfolio(s) and/or divisions within that portfolio.
Provide coaching and expert consultation to Portfolio Leadership and Division Leadership teams in areas related to change management, organizational development, employee engagement, and leadership development.
Coach other change practitioners through developing change management plans and provide training to other change practitioners.
