WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, this position supports the Dealer Sales Department in all areas of masonry, hardscapes, packaged dry-mix products, and miscellaneous building materials.
The hardscapes effort also includes a focus on landscape contractors to inform and educate them on the Basalite product line and proper installation procedures; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.

Contacts customers and prospects in-person and by telephone.
Customers include dealers, contractors and landscape design professionals.
Educate dealers and contractors on features and benefits of the Basalite product line and proper installation techniques.
Coordinate with the technical sales representatives to assist the dealers in the promotion of their products.
Assist the Basalite technical specification representatives (architectural and engineering) to enhance their specification efforts, as necessary.
Develop an annual territory plan focused on targeted dealers, contractors and product lines to grow the business and increase market share.
Provide sales leads to dealers and their contractors.
Provide marketing assistance to dealers in the form of promotional materials, building displays, promotions, training of dealer personnel, contractor training, joint sales calls, etc.
Inform dealers and contractors of new products.
Provide job quotes and assist in plan estimation as required.
Deliver samples to customers and potential customers.
Perform sales lead and post-bid job follow-up.
Participate in industry trade and home shows to promote Basalite and its product lines.
Prepare required paperwork including call reports, price quote sheets and complaint forms.
Discern market trends and keep management informed of any significant occurrence or trend that may affect the company.
This also includes new and related products.
Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and report all hazardous conditions.
Attends weekly production and safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Regular attendance is required.
