*Position Summary:* Packaging Solutions is looking for a team-oriented, customer-focused, self-motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing company.
The BDR plays a vital role in building and maintaining positive relationships with our customers and community.
In this role, you will develop new business opportunities by generating qualified customer leads that our Account Executive can nurture into a sales opportunity.
The BDR is responsible for increasing prospects through data mining for potential customers and developing marketing campaigns.
The BDR plays a vital role in the sales process by partnering with external leads to schedule appointments for the sales team.
Your efforts will contribute to the growth of our customer base and enhance the overall success of the customers we serve.
The ideal candidate will have sales techniques and research skills to search for potential customers.
Resiliency, a teachable temperament, and being naturally curious are critical attributes a candidate must possess to excel in this role.
This is an entry-level position that allows you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals to build the career you desire, and ultimately climb the ladder inside the Packaging Solutions sales team.
The BDR role can lead to other sales opportunities within business development, or cross-functional amongst Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales.
*Work Location:* This is a hybrid position that is both remote and onsite at the office location in Elma, WA *Duties/Responsibilities:* * Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts to book sales appointments and influence company revenue.
* Contact potential clients through cold calls, cold emails, social strategies, and networking.
* Qualify Leads as sales opportunities by identifying client needs and suggesting appropriate products/services.
* Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
* Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
* Drive sales growth and pipeline by setting up qualified meetings for Account Executives.
* Attend networking events to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Develop and implement marketing campaigns to attract new leads.
* Conduct market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization and its target audience.
* Perform research on competitors, consumer behavior, market trends, product developments, and lead acquisition methods.
* Analyze customer personas and target audience demographics to generate leads.
* Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.
).
*Education and Experience:* * Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent.
* Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing, or related field.
* Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls * Track record of achieving sales quotas * Experience with CRM software (e.
g.
Salesforce) and marketing software * Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts) * Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases * Ability to deliver engaging presentations * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work * Attention to detail and problem-solving skills *Physical Requirements:* * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
