The daily role involves ringing up transactions via our point-of-sale system and handling payments with keen attention to detail.
Cashiers also answer customer questions about products in the store and troubleshoot returns and other issues during the day.
The Cashier/stocker team also stocks face merchandise products on the shelves and cleans the customer-facing spaces of the store, assisting with side work as time permits.
With experience, Cashiers will cross-train behind the retail counter to better understand store operations.
*Responsibilities*
Cashiers/Stockers can be found stocking shelves, filling the frozen foods bins, and helping maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
You could receive product deliveries, ensure delivery accuracy, and move products to the sales floor using several different types of equipment.
Grocery Clerks are also responsible for rotating merchandise to ensure the freshest product is available for our customers.
Using a ladder
Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
Working in coolers or freezers
