Marketing Associate

Who we are: HotD is an award-winning games workshop in downtown Olympia.
We design, publish, and manufacture games, and provide an array of creative services to our community.
Our work environment includes: * On-the-job training * Relaxed atmosphere * Flexible working hours We will consider anyone who: * *submits a resume* that includes a minimum of *3 professional references* and a *cover letter* * is LGBTQ Friendly * Is passionate about games * Is proficient with tiktok and instagram * Has excellent writing and communication skills * Is LGBTQ friendly * Is vaccinated and boosted against Covid19 Our ideal candidate also: * Has prior marketing experience at a tabletop game company * Is passionate about indie tabletop role-playing games * Is proficient with the adobe creative suite * Has experience taking product photography * Has experience managing an online store * Has video production experience *Primary Duties* * Oversee all social media content creation and scheduling * Produce and perform in video content for social media including actual play sessions, interviews, and how to play videos.
* Add new products to online store and catalog * Take product photos * Write marketing copy for new products * Produce our monthly retail and customer newsletters * Produce backer updates for crowdfunding campaigns *Pay Scale* Starting pay will be between $17-20/hr depending on professional marketing experience.
All workers gain a 3% raise automatically for every 1,000 hours worked (up to %30 above base pay).
In addition all workers receive an automatic cost of living raise every January equal to the increase Washington State in minimum wage (usually 1-5% a year).
*Secondary Duties* Light janitorial tasks (emptying office trash) *Hours & Scheduling* The Marketing Associate will work an average of 30-40 hrs per week and may set their own schedule in consultation with the CEO.
This job is fully in-person at our studio in downtown Olympia.
*Paid Sick Leave* Paid sick leave will accrue at the rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked and may be used in any manner the Marketing Associate sees fit.
*Unpaid Leave* The Marketing Associate is entitled to to take a reasonable amount of unpaid leave at their own discretion.
They will be expected to give a reasonable amount of notice and make sure that leave taken does not unduly disrupt the operations of the business.
