The shift manager is responsible for ensuring the execution of all associates responsibilities by providing direction, guidance, and accountability per workflow needs on a daily basis.
Consistently drives sales and store standards.
- Accountable for upholding LP measures.
- Assist in the management of controllable expenses to ensure profit.
- Assists with the management of employees in the store.
- Works on behalf of the team as needed (Cashier, sales associate, and merchandise associate)
- Collaborates regularly with the AGM on operational performance indicators and inventory status.
- Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
- Ensure pricing integrity is in place and up to standard per product.
- Ensure Store signage is accurate, up to date, and in good repair.
- Ensure that all daily inventory management tasks are completed by deadlines.
- Ensure that open/close procedures are followed.
- Ensure weekly and monthly housekeeping standards are met.
- Ensures associates are informed of all promotions, events, and other necessary job information.
- Ensures task execution and is responsible for a prioritized delegation of the daily workload among associates.
- Ensures the promotion of Ace Rewards on the sales floor by the associates.
- Ensures the staff is trained, motivated, presentable and punctual.
- Execution of daily Workflow.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and organizational standards in the backroom.
- Maintains the store in accordance with company standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or AGM.
- Provides critical feedback and coaching to direct reports, as needed.
- Provides direction and guidance to all staff.
- Resolves customer complaints as needed.
- Responsible for assisting in the training and accountability of associates on store policy and procedure.
- Responsible for associates proficiency in all store technology platforms.
- Responsible for ensuring associates are knowledgeable of product lines.
- Can demonstrate and describe to customers how a product fits their needs and wants.
- Responsible for ensuring the store is recovered and ready for business every day.
- Responsible for executing all in-store workflow processes and promotions.
- Responsible for planning, communicating and documenting all associate needs.
- Works with senior leadership to identify root cause IRAs and execute solutions.
MINIMUM
- Willingness to work non-operating hours, evenings, weekends, & holidays to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrates ability to lead and develop others in a consistent and professional manner.
- Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly & effectively in all situations.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years retail operations experience.
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel required.
- Possesses and/or willingness to possess vast product knowledge.
- Skills/Knowledge: Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Climb stairs and ladders using proper safety measures.
- Lifting 50 to 80lbs as needed.
- Standing for long periods of time up to 10 hours per day.
