Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and evaluate classroom and instructional activities consistent with building, state frameworks, and adopted district curriculum.
Diagnose and prescribe learning and training programs for individual students.
Provide for the needs of individual students.
Cooperate with administration, high school staff and community advisory boards in implementation of comprehensive instruction and activities program.
Other duties as assigned.
Training and Knowledge Desired:
Strong skills and background in instructional methods and strategies.
Ability to use assessment formatively to inform instruction.
Use of variety of teaching materials relevant to Commercial Arts and Photography
Plan and carry out instruction to meet the needs of ALL students
Ability to manage behavior and procedures within the classroom and at events.
Willing to become involved in student activities.

Build strong positive relationships with students and adults.
Have a growth mindset when being observed and evaluated.
Must be willing to collaborate professionally with other staff.
Must have knowledge of industry certifications.
Must have knowledge of industry vocabulary and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid vocational certificate in Graphic Design and Photography, Washington State preferred.
Strong background in content, methods, strategies, and technology appropriate for the Graphic Design Pathway.
Experience in computer based educational technology.
(industry, Adobe, and Google Classroom, conduct Synchronous and Asynchronous lessons)
Willingness to accept extracurricular assignments.

Employment is on a conditional basis pending completion of a state and national background check.
Physical Demands:

Able to talk and hear regularly in order to communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, staff, and the community.
Able to walk, sit, use hands to operate operate artistic tools or machinery.
Able to use arms to carry objects.
Able to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Must have close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be capable of being mobile to move throughout the school facilities, grounds, and community settings.
Working Environment Conditions:
Exposure to indoor and outside climate conditions during all months.
These conditions are not to a degree or length of time to cause marked discomfort or possible bodily injury to the employee.
Essential Functions:

Salary:
180 Base Salary - $57,337.
50 - $111,555.
