As a comprehensive community college, Centralia College offers academic transfer and workforce programs, as well as adult basic education, ELL, and personal enrichment classes.

Job Description Centralia College offers a Certificate of Proficiency in Construction Trades Apprenticeship Preparation program.
The Construction Trades Apprenticeship Preparation program is designed to prepare students for employment in the construction and building repair industries.
Ultimately, students would be prepared to begin an apprenticeship program.
Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the program using standardized curriculum, maintaining adequate classroom and lab materials, and following tool control policies.
The instructor will also mentor and support students, participate in curriculum revision and program development, follow Centralia College policies including training requirements, attend staff meetings, prepare course materials as appropriate, follow hazardous materials communications program protocols.
There is potential for additional teaching opportunities within the Industrial Trades pathway.
Qualifications Seven years' experience in the construction industry; Excellent communication skills; and Vocationally certifiable by the Washington Community and Technical Colleges.
Preferred Qualifications Additional Qualities: Teaching experience Experience using Learning Management system (Canvas) Demonstrated ability to motivate adult learners Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and effectively with other department members Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers Demonstrated ability to serve the needs of students who represent a broad spectrum of ages, abilities, ethnicity, education, and cultural backgrounds Demonstrated ability in program development and assessment Physical Requirements Climbing ladders, carrying up to 50 pounds, nailing efficiently, and walking up to 2 miles a day are just some of the physical demands of this position.
