JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for food preparation and for opening, maintaining, cleaning, and closing the Team Member Dining Room (TDR).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
Knowledge of casino promotions.
Prepare both TDR and Main Kitchen food items for daily service.
Cold and hot wells are kept clean and well maintained throughout shift.
Responsible for all food items being rotated.
Monitor food temperatures on all hot and cold foods.
Ensure food quality and quantity in food service area.
Communicate with Main Kitchen regarding updates and menu changes.
Responsible for all food items and paper products being stocked in the TDR.
Clean all areas of kitchen and TDR to maintain the highest standards of food, equipment and facility sanitation.
Ensure work areas are in compliance with OSHA and HACCP health and safety standards and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
1 year of experience in a kitchen facility.
Food Handlers Permit.
Current knowledge of occupational safety issues and food safety guidelines.
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to stand and/or walk for assigned shift.
Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
