POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Deli Cashier position is a representative and the first impression of the Nisqually Red Wind Casino.
The Deli Cashier’s goal is to ensure that our guest are greeted warmly, seated quickly and the guest have an excellent experience by making eye contact, engaging in conversation and being courteous at all times.

JOB SUMMARY: The Deli Cashier is responsible for the accuracy of all cash and card transactions for guest purchases.
This position is responsible for staying updated with products and services offered to educate guests on available discounts and product choices.
The Deli Cashier will respond to guest complaints and queries in a professional manner.
It is also their responsibility to keep the Deli area clean, neat, and organized.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Answer questions and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
Ensure strict food storage procedures are followed to prevent spoilage and contamination.
Ensure that all products utilized in the FOH are labeled with appropriate dates and pricing.
Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to all sanitation and safety control policies.
Maintain a clean area.
Deliver Food Orders promptly.
Restock Grab and Go Display cases utilizing FIFO (First in- First out).
Clean tables after guests have left.
Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
Input all orders into the POS System.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills and knowledge:
6 months guest service experience.
3 months experience with a P.
O.
S.
( Point of Sale )System
Ability to read and understand menus.
Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guest.
Ability to listen and respond to guests in a loud environment.
Basic math skills.
Passion for providing extraordinary service.
Ability to work positively on a fast paced environment.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
Ability to multi-task, organize, and be dependable.
Excellent written communication skills.
Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
Ability to work peak business hours.
Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
1 year guest service experience in the Hospitality Industry
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
