This job has an assigned duty station at DCYF Headquarters in Olympia, however infrequent travel to various meeting locations around the state may occur.
This position may work remote in an approved office setting, with an approved agency telework plan.
Schedule: This is a full-time day job, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday.
Closes: Wednesday, January 17, 2024 Salary: $56,776.

00 Yearly ___________________________ The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Child Care Grants Coordinator (Management Analyst 3) to coordinate grant awards and incentive programs for our Early Learning Division (ELD).
The Opportunity: The Child Care Grants Coordinator leads the implementation of grant awards and incentive processes.
You will support outreach and communication efforts to early learning partners and stakeholders while ensuring timely quality assurance processes.
Also, this position manages data and reporting, identifies child care grant trends, and recommends changes to program policies when necessary.
Some of what you will do: Develop the annual ECEAP Complex Needs Fund application and make updates.
Coordinate the evaluation of grant materials.
Create and update award notifications and materials.
Track the award amount to grantees and ensure the grant is fully spent each year.
Provide technical assistance to applicants during the application process and to grantees once funds are awarded.
Monitor the fund balance to ensure all funds are distributed within the funding amount allotted to DCYF by the legislature.
Propose Complex Needs objectives, policy and funding requests, and make recommendations.
Coordinate ongoing development and implementation of grant processes.
Establish, maintain, and monitor efficiencies in the day-to-day grant process.
Understand and interpret policy to ensure compliance.
Draft grant-related correspondence and messaging to partners and the public.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, AND three years of experience in grant/contract management, fiscal auditing, budgeting, program development, or other closely related field.
OR An equivalent combination of education and experience (totaling seven years).
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following: Previously demonstrated knowledge of state and national early learning trends, ECEAP or Head Start comprehensive program services, and how both areas intersect.
Professional experience and demonstrated skill in interpreting, analyzing, and synthesizing data into documents and presentations.
Previously demonstrated experience writing procedure manuals, policies and scopes of work.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including skills for meeting facilitation, training, presentations, and consensus-building.
Previously demonstrated computer proficiency, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to use virtual meeting platforms.
