MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates of Arts Degree or 2 years college credits, or met standard on the ETS Standardized ParaPro Assessment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Skyward Student Information System

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Assists the building secretary, monitors attendance and truancy procedures, and provides small group and individual instruction to students in Special Education and/or LAP.
Maintains the functions of the library.
Provides middle school athletics office support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
Depending upon individual assignment, the office assistant will perform all or a combination of several of the following duties:
Ability to maintain a student centered, organized positive climate
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, community members and school personnel
Confidential with a thorough knowledge of the school's purpose, functions, and practices
Monitor and record student attendance and communicate attendance with parents.
Knowledge of the Becca Bill, truancy policy and procedure
Assists in administrative details
Assist with record maintenance, filing, and office procedures and skilled at record keeping and computers
Provide first aid care
Dispense and record medications
Ability to accept responsibility and take direction
Work collaboratively and collegially
Conduct all work in a safe manner and comply with district rules and regulations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to work one-on-one or in a small group with students
Ability to provide support, assistance and give specific instruction under the direction of a certified Special Education Teacher or LAP Director
Ability to participate in the IEP process and communicate with professionals.
Monitor students both in and out the classroom
Effectively utilize district technology appropriate to the position and assume responsibility for attending district training needed to successfully perform designated responsibilities as directed by supervisor
Athletics Office Support:
Create a list of “cleared” athletes
Maintain middle school athletic registration (rSchool online registration platform)
Print game day programs- update as needed
Organize/file student physical forms
Maintain sign up lists for upcoming sports-distribute SportsU information for athletes
Communicate with coaches and AD any changes in start times/bus depart times
Double check/advocate MS student needs while playing high school

Terms of Employment:
3 Hours per day
Work shall be concurrent with the school calendar.
