The Opportunity: We are hiring a Senior Project Data Analyst (MA5) to participate in large-scale childcare-specific business and management projects and studies and provide senior-level consultation through data interpretation and reporting.
This individual will also collaborate with managers and assist with implementing legislative directives, developing policies, procedures, and long-range strategic plans.
Some of what you will get to do: Organize and manage large, complex data sets and conduct data analysis using multiple methods and tools.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data that informs policy and training needs including simple, complex statistical analysis.
Use data to identify and report implementation risks, dependencies, and other possible issues.
Identify problems, analyze and evaluate operating deficiencies or difficulties, provide management with alternatives and recommend courses of action.
Provide data-related input to department operations including scope, methodology, and timetable development for project completion.
Work with outside organizations, including private, state, and federal organizations to collect and analyze project data and identify potential changes to programs and policies.
Ensure data integrity and requirements of confidentiality are maintained at all times.
Use data to understand and combat racial inequities.
Assist in developing reports including findings from project data analysis.
Participate with management staff in developing strategies for the use of available resources, defining departmental needs and priorities, long-range planning, and setting goals.
Conduct analytics delivery in conjunction with client relationship management, business knowledge, and high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Present research findings and recommendations to elected officials and outside organizations.
Provide technical assistance and consultative service to clients in the development of program activities and project initiatives.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field and five years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
ORA comparable combination of graduate education and experience.
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following: Demonstrated accountability, responsiveness, and willingness to learn.
Experience in research and development.
Knowledge of State statutes, Washington Administrative Code, RCW, and agency policies and procedures.
